On January 11, 2021, Anastasia Beverly Hills will launch their new year 2021 collection.
This much anticipated collection has the new “Iced Out” highlighter which is an iridescent silver tone (see photos below).
EDIT: Right now as of January 11 – its still “coming soon” on their website. Click here to view. It also doesn’t seem like it’s on Sephora’s website as promised either.
The theme of this collection is about “winter frost” and does not contain an eyeshadow palette.
There are NO innovative products in this collection – all of the items can be duped for better quality and price.
The Iced out Highlighter is just a dupe of the Phyisicians Formula Butter Highlighter and the Brow Wax is just a version of soap brows.
Read below for the collection launching on January 11, 2021 but buyer be ware of this hot garbage.
Included in the Anastasia Beverly Hills New Year 2021 Collection
Even though the collection is small, it comes packed with some new and innovative products. Check out an in depth look at each one below:
- Iced Out Highlighter
- Brow Freeze Styling Wax
- Diamond Gloss
- Crystal Gloss
Let’s take a look at each of these new releases in the new Anastasia Beverly Hills New Year 2021 Collection.
Iced Out Highlighter
This is the MOST anticipated part of this mini collection that launches on January 11, 2021 – available at Sephora.
The highlighter can be worn dry or wet – go for wet if you want a really blinding highlight.
Suitable for all skin tones, it provides the skin with a smooth and ultra light beaming look.
What is unique about this product is that it is a liquid look and feel and dries down as a powder. It will give you the illusion of liquid skin but it is a powder.
Like I said above, you can get the same look from the Physician’s Formula Butter Highlighter which I’ll link here.
If you’re looking for that wet dewy look in a highlighter you’ll love the new Iced Out Highlighter. See the swatches above for the wet dewy look I was referring to.
Essentially, the Iced Out Highlighter is the sister to the well known Amrezy Highlighter which is the gold toned one.
Brow Freeze Styling Wax
If you are into the laminated eyebrow look or heard about “soap brows”, then you’ll want to check out the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze Styling Wax.
This is a clear brow wax that helps keep hairs in place.
The idea is to brush them up with a spoolie and because there is wax in this product the hairs will stand up.
Personally, I don’t think you need to spend money on this product to get the laminated eyebrow look. Just use a clear brow gel from L’Oreal or any other drugstore brand to get the same look.
OR you can actually use a clear soap and a spoolie to get the same effect!
Diamond Gloss
Sticking with the “iced theme” – the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Diamond Gloss is supposed to be a topper over your main lipstick or lip liner.
Its supposed to be non-sticky and go over any shade you’re wearing for a multi-dimensional shine.
Personally, you can find any of these sparkly glosses at the drugstore there are so many dupes you don’t need this.
Also, I HATE Anastasia Beverly Hills lip glosses – they are so sticky and tacky no matter what they say.
The perfect dupe for this would be the Fenty Gloss Bomb in Diamond Milk. I know the formula of the Fenty Gloss Bomb is already amazing so you can be sure this is a perfect dupe.
Crystal Gloss
This must be a joke because I can name you a ton of other clear lip glosses that you can buy instead of this one by Anastasia Beverly Hills.
The Revlon clear lip gloss is one of the best clear lip glosses around and you can likely find it at the drugstore for $7 – 9 Canadian.
I am not even going into detail about how silly it is to market this clear lip gloss like it’s something new.
Final thoughts of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Iced Out Collection: You don’t need this. You can buy dupes of all of these items and don’t fall for their “Winter Frost” marketing tactics!
