The Best Philosophy Products

Purity Made Simple – One Step Cleanser

It doesn’t get any clearer than this.  The One Step Cleanser is one of the Philosophy’s best sellers.  I’ve used this product and did feel that it made my skin a little tight.  I wasn’t too worried because I always moisturize after cleansing which I hope you do too!  It is also an Allure award winner if you like to follow that – which always wins in my book.

Also, the price on the 16 oz is $36 which is still under our $40 limit I promised for this post!

Microdelivery exfoliating wash

micro delivery exfoliating facial wash review

I use the microdelivery exfoliating wash product after the one step cleanser. I use an exfoliator every other day, and usually use it in the shower.  With the microdelivery exfoliating wash, I really concentrate using it in the evening after I have used the purity made simple cleanser.  I find it to be less harsh than the exfoliator I use in the shower and that it fits into my night time routine.

The price on this one is only $15 for the 4 oz size which I think is enough to try the product out and decide if its for you.

Hope in a Jar

I can’t rave about this product enough! I got a sample in the mail from Sephora and it went on so smooth.  I couldn’t stay away from the Hope in a Jar long enough if I wanted to.  I ran to the store and got the 4 oz size.  I know it’s quite pricy at $69 but you can try the 2 oz size on Philosophy.com for $39 (still under our budget!).

I’m telling you, if there’s one moisturizer out there that you need it’s this one.  I’ve never met such a velvety smooth moisturizer that didn’t flake off when i applied my makeup.  Trust me – this is the one that has been a goto for so many beauty lovers.

Hope in a jar original formula review

…As an added bonus I’ll tell you one more secret to this Philosophy Skincare Review …

Renewed Hope in a Jar

There is another moisturizer called “renewed hope in a jar” which is a moisturizing mask and can be purchased for under $37 for the 4 oz.  The renewed hope in a jar is a mask that sits on top of the face.  According to the Philosophy website, it is perfect for all skin types, even sensitive skin.

I would use this product if you are like me, stuck in a winter polar vortex and your skin feels tight no matter what you do.  This product doesn’t promise to restore your faith that mother nature will calm down for a few days but it may take your mind off of it!

renewed hope in a jar review

Renewed Hope In a Jar Water

If you want to try Philosophy creams but don’t want something so thick you’ll want to try the Renewed Hope in a Jar Water based cream.

This cream is highly rated on the Philosophy website.

It has Hyaluronic acid that helps skin retain moisture so you will get a healthy glow from within.

It also provides up to 72 hours hydration! Honestly if you have dry skin the Renewed Hope in a Jar Water is for you.

A dupe of this product would be the Neutrogena Hydro Boost (can be found on Amazon), but I would still recommend Philosphy products over any drugstore product.

For acne prone skin the best Philosophy regimen has an entire line dedicated to clear skin! Keep reading below to find out more about the Philosophy skin care acne line.

Acne Treatment Cleanser – Clear Days Ahead

Philosophy acne regimen review

This oil-free cleanser has salicylic acid that helps treat acne pores deep down. It’s a gel so it’s really light weight on the skin.

It helps reduce acne causing bacteria to help replenish and clean the skin.

Acne Treatment Moisturizer – Clear Days Ahead

Philosophy acne regimen product review

The next step in the acne regimen using Philosophy skin care is to use the acne treatment moisturizer after you cleanse the skin (usually at night).

This moisturizer also includes salicylic acid but also provides oil free hydration so your skin can breathe. Put this on in the mornings and night time for all day long lasting hydration.

Remember, the salicylic acid is going to help treat your acne for the entire day!

Acne Spot Treatment – Clear Days Ahead

Philosophy acne spot treatment clear days ahead review

The other product you need in your Philosophy Acne regimen is the Acne Spot Treatment from the Clear Days Ahead line.

The Acne Spot Treatment is perfect for placing on skin that has pimples or cystic acne (which I have had).

It contains anti-microbial products that help fight the bacteria that causes acne.

This will dry out your skin because that is the point for drying out the bacteria that causes acne.

Use this product only 1 – 3 times daily on the affected area and stop if becomes too flaky or the skin hurts.

Using all three Clear Days Ahead products, you’ll hopefully start to see your acne become under control.

Regimen for Dry Skin

Cleanser – Renewed Hope in A Jar Foaming Cleanser

The Renewed Hope in A Jar Foaming Cleanser is a new product from Philosophy and is perfect for acne prone skin.

It has skin renewal technology that helps the skin rebuild dead skin cells. Essentially this product is made for all skin types and is also perfect for sensitive skin.

Moisturizer Serum Duo: Renewed Hope in a Jar

best philosophy products for dry skin

The Renewed Hope in a Jar is the perfect product for dry skin. Philosophy offers a duo with the Renewed Hope moisturizer and serum.

You would apply the serum under the moisturizer as you would a regular skin serum.

These two products pack a lot of hydration which is why they are perfect for dry skin.

Plus, the duo is an amazing deal since serums can be expensive.

Also, it is hard to find a serum for dry skin sometimes because they can be very drying.

Purity Made Simple – Hydra-essence with Coconut Water

Philosophy coconut essence water

The Hydra-essence with coconut water is an essence you apply after you have washed your skin.

For those with dry skin, you’ll need the added moisture which has proven to come from coconuts.

This isn’t a required step in a dry skin regimen but will definitely help with bringing out a radiant glow.

Regimen for Anti-Aging

Philosophy is known for its anti-aging products. The idea is to create a preventative barrier against the skin for aging.

There are a lot of eye creams and wrinkle preventers in the regimen for anti-aging from Philsophy.

Here are the must have products for Anti-aging.

Anti-Wrinkle Miracle Worker: Line Correcting Moisturizer

anti-wrinkle miracle worker philosophy skincare review

The line correcting moisturizer comes in a jar and is very affordable as far as an anti-aging product goes.

The line correcting moisturizer contains hyaluronic acid, Indian gentian extract and strong forms of vitamin C which help fight the signs of aging.

Over time, the peptides found in this moisturizer will help skin become plumper and firmer helping to hide wrinkles and lines.

Most women saw instant improvement in 1 week and even more in week 2 of using this product.

Miracle Worker Eye Cream

The best defense against aging skin is having a good eye cream, especially with SPF!

The Philosophy Miracle Worker Eye Cream is one of the best eye creams out there. Read my post on “Why You Need an Eye Cream” and you’ll see why an eye cream is essential to an anti-aging skin regimen.
