I tried the Ole Henriksen Vitamin C serum once and returned it. I bought it back from Sephora the next day. I was unsure about the price and what it would actually do for my skin.
The Ole Henriksen truth serum, is a specialized formula that brightens, firms and fights visible signs of aging and promotes collagen.
The key benefit to this product is the vitamin c that carries antioxidant properties for the skin. It’s a fast absorbing oil free formula that is applied on a clean face in the morning. Not only does it feel good, it smells great with a hint of orange waking you up in the morning.
When I first started using the truth serum, I thought I didn’t notice a different but when I stopped using it (during the return days), I noticed my makeup was dull. Also, I loved knowing I was fighting the aging process on my skin all day without even realizing it. This product if you buy nothing else, is a must have!

Ole Henriksen has done an overhaul of the Truth skincare line. There used to be the Truth Foaming cleanser which is discontinued and replaced by this new cleanser called: “Truth Juice”. Truth Juice is a cleanser that starts from cream and foams up slightly. It is perfect for removing dirt and oil but will provide your skin with a brightening element since it is infused with oranges. The scent is soothing and will invigorate the senses for sure! If you are looking for an everyday cleanser that will leave your skin refreshed for any skin type, Truth Juice is the clear winner.
Since the Truth line by Ole Henriksen is universal and made for most skin types, it is a no brainer that there is a moisturizer that will work for everyone. The C-Rush Brightening Double Creme brightens, hydrates and fights visible signs of aging.
It includes shea butter and grape seed oil which help to nourish the skin and prevent against aging.
Of course, with the Truth line you always get a healthy glow because all of the products are Vitamin C based.

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Collection
The Banana Bright Collection from Ole Henriksen claims you’ll have more bouncier skin! The Banana Bright system is best for aging skin because it focuses on plumping the skin back up. Also, the Banana Bright Collection has a high concentration of vitamin C similar to the truth serum so you get two amazing ingredients in one.
The best thing about the Banana Bright Serum is that it contains 15% vitamin C, 5% PHAs and hayaluronic acid. It is said to provide bouncier skin within 7 days.
The Banana Bright Serum also is a skin defender meaning that it helps against environmental stress such as pollution.
The hyaluronic acid will help retail moisture and plump the skin up for that bouncy and brightening effect.

The Banana Bright Eye creme is a newer Ole Henriksen product. I believe it replaces the original Ole Henriksen Eye Gel which is now discontinued.
The Banana Bright eye cream is VERY affordable – especially for an eye cream. Read my post on the best eye creams under $75 and you’ll see this is one of the best eye creams for the price. It is also a best seller of Ole Henriksen’s and I would say that it is one of the only hits the company has had in awhile.
It you have fine lines, wrinkles and dark under eye circles you will definitely get a lot of value out of this product.
The Ingredient of “Banana Powder, helps brighten dullness and colour correct uneven skin tone.
The reviews of the Banana Bright Eye Cream are mixed. Some people didn’t see any difference right away and some said that they wouldn’t repurchase.
Personally, I love Ole Henriksen skincare products and this review is so no different. I love this product and think for an eye cream it is very affordable!
The Banana Bright Face Primer is my go to primer for the summer. I often wear it alone at times! You can still wear this primer alone and it will make your skin glow.
It works so nicely under foundation and gives me a healthy glow.
According to Ole Henrikson, the Banana Bright Face Primer improves makeup wear time and blurs imperfections while hydrating the skin.
According to other reviews, the Banana Bright Face Primer has positive reviews on Sephora and is considered a pretty good primer up there with other makeup brands such as Smashbox and TooFaced.
Ole Henriksen Transform Collection
The Ole Henriksen Transform Line is all about exfoliating and renewing the surface of your skin. It is a good idea to combine the Transform Collection with other different Ole Henriksen Collections which is what I typically do. The ingredients in the transform collection focus on AHAs and other treatments that help to change the skin for the better.
The Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer, is one of my go to products in my skincare regimen for daytime. I was looking high and low for a moisturizer that had an SPF in it. However, as I did more research I realized that SPF made moisturizers thicker and less enjoyable to put on. When I tried the Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer for the first time (after applying The Truth Serum), it gave me a sheer wash of moisture and made my skin like it took a huge drink of water. Not only did I actually feel amazing but it dried clear and fast so I can apply my makeup right away. I’ve become so addicted that I bought the large size vs. the mini that I’ll keep for travelling. Another must have by Ole Henriksen skincare regimen. My skin is also acne prone and I use this moisturizer every day and never feel greasy or heavy.
The night time stage of my skincare regimen is new to me. However, I felt it was important to take care of my skin for an entire 24 hours. After cleansing, apply the Night Transformation Gel which is an unscented serum and gel based consistency. I like to apply the Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer on top so my skin isn’t too tight as I sleep. Also, I have realized that if I have a break out, the Invigorating Night Serum makes my acne disappear overnight. I just discovered that this year and whenever I have a breakout I use this serum and wake up to clear skin.
This is a new product from Ole Henriksen – the Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner is a game changer for the transformation collection.
The Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner will help eliminate dark spots on your skin. There’s a high concentration of AHA (similar to the Invigorating Night Serum) that will help with exfoliate and even out overall skin tone. It is infused with sandalwood, camomile and licorice extracts to help your skin tone post cleansing. Very safe for everyday use and has a lovely lemony-sugar scent!
Ole Henriksen Counter Balance Oil Control
The Oil Control Collection is a personal favourite of mine. Make sure you are familiar with your skin type first before venturing into this collection. The Oil Control Collection can be drying and if you aren’t sure if you have oily skin I would confirm before using this line.
The Oil Control Collection lasts all day and does not let oil control your face and encourage shine.
The Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator mattifies the skin and pores with rosehip fruit extracts and AHAs. This is a lightweight hydrator that helps keep pores clear and skin matte all day while still maintaining hydration and doesn’t dry out skin.
This product also helps improve the lasting effect of your foundation so that you’re not bothered by oily skin (tip – read my post on The Best Foundations for Oily Skin here).
If you have oily skin, you may not be able to find a moisturizer that hydrates and doesn’t leave you greasy. The great thing about the mattifying moisture creme is that while it does the same mattifying and controls pores and excess oil, it is also non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t cause acne. It also contains oat flour which helps to calm the skin and control shine combined with soothing aloe vera gel. Honestly, this moisturizer is more like a gel than a creme which is why I like it so much.
Sometimes, it is better to use the entire collection so that your skin gets used to similar products. Ole Henriksen conveniently packages these up so you’re getting better value for your money purchasing all of the products from one collection up front. Ole Henriksen Nurture Collection for Dry Skin
The Nurture Collection from Ole Henriksen is for the dry skin types. It helps to soothe and replenish natural skin and comfort irritated skin. Some of the main ingredients in this collection include: Aloe Vera, ProVitamin B5 and pleasant scents such as lavender.
Some people call this the “Ole Henriksen Nuture Me” Collection. In fact, it is called the nurture me collection because it is all about how your nurture yourself due to the creamy nature of the collection.
***Note***: Some of the products in the Nuture Collection are being discontinued! When you visit the Ole Henriksen site you’ll see that there are fewer Nuture Collection products. This could mean that they are redoing the skin care line or getting rid of it altogether!
The Wonderfeel Double Cleanser is one of the best sellers from the Ole Henriksen Nurture Collection. It is a deeper clean than the Foaming Truth Cleanser because it is a double cleanser meaning that it gets further down into pores. It is also a cold cream that although acts as a deep cleanse, it isn’t too harsh on the skin.
The Berry Nurtuing Gel Mask contains ProVitamin B5 which is an overall nourishing vitamin. It also has a subtle lavender scent to make you feel invigorated, almost spa like. It hydrates, nourishes and soothes the skin to help replenish it and make it soft and supple for makeup application. If you feel like your skin is on fire then you will definitely want to try the Berry Nurturing Gel Mask.

What is the Order of Skin Care Products?
Since there are so many skincare products, I will tell you the order in which I use the Ole Henriksen skin care products I mentioned in this review.
Here is my Ole Henriksen Skincare Routine:
First, I cleanse my face with the Truth Serum Foaming wash OR the Wonderfeel Double Cleanser from the Nurture Me Line.
Secondly, I use the Glo2Oh dark spot toner. You should always use a toner after you cleanse your face because your pores are more open.
Last, I use the Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer if it is during the day. I will also use the Nuture Me Moisturizing Cream if it is during the night.
This is the basic skincare routine from Ole Henriksen. Of course, you can stick to just one line of products but that may not have everything you need to be able to do full skin care.
