As you know, I love eyeshadow palettes as I tend to review them often. I recently came across the Cargo Cosmetics eyeshadow palette in Wanderlust at Winners of all places! I was surprised to stumble across the beauty of this eyeshadow palette that Cargo Cosmetics did a great job of creating and stayed in line with a theme for the palette: travel.
If you like what you see in this review: shop the Wanderlust Palette here.

The Cargo Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette in Wanderlust
This palette includes a range of warm colours that run through to cool colours and is perfect for first time eyeshadow palette purchasers. The way that this Cargo Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette is designed, is extremely well thought out:
1. Complimentary quadrants 2. Complimentary duo shades. As you can see from the photo, there are 12 colours, but organized in 3 different quadrants which are numbered and follow a diagram on how to apply all four shades. Of those 3 quadrants, the eyeshadows above and below are designed to create a cohesive look only using two of the colours, or say, a duo.
Cargo Cosmetics has solved the eyeshadow palette problem and seems to have clued in to all of whom are overwhelmed by eyeshadow palettes (myself included!). It’s really hard to understand how the more dramatic colours can be put to good use, and eventually there are usually 3 colours that end up hitting pan for me which usually includes some kind of a vanilla shade that I tend to gravitate to. Sigh. I hate when that happens!
Let’s get into the quadrants:
First Quadrant – Colour names: Dreamer, Explore, Wander and Curious. These are all neutral and consist of light beiges and vanilla tones.
Second Quadrant – Colour names: Travel, Voyage, Festival and Roam. These finish off the tail end of the neutral colours and turn cool. Roam and Festival are light and darker green colours that make for an epic eye pop, especially on brown eyes.
Third Quadrant – Colour names: Light, Desire, Navigate and Dream. This is my favourite part of this palette. I’m a sucker for purples and taupes as I have green eyes and they tend to make my eyes pop the most.
As for the colour pay off, you can see by the swatches that this Cargo Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette are more pigmented toward the cooler end of the palette. I do love the lighter vanilla colours though highly pigmented. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would say this palette is a 8 in terms of colour pay off which is pretty high in my opinion.
The last piece of this Cargo Cosmetics eyeshadow palette review is the fact that the Wanderlust Palette comes with a mirror and brush so it becomes a great staple in your makeup cabinet, especially for starters based on the points I listed above.
