Milk Makeup has been around for quite some time so I wanted to do a round up of the best milk makeup products.
One of my top articles on Beauty Reviews is the Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek which you can read here.
You may be wondering what is so great about Milk Makeup? Milk Makeup is 100% paraben free and vegan so you never have to wonder if the products are sustainable. Everything is developed in house by fashion editors and an E! news correspondant. They founded milk studios which is where Milk Makeup was created.
Where Can I buy Milk Makeup?
Sephora
You can explore all of the Milk Makeup items on Sephora and read the reviews about what makes each product unique. You can also read all of the beauty reviews for all of the Milk Makeup products.
Also, if you are from Canada, and you are a Rouge at Sephora this is probably your best bet for picking up Milk Makeup products.
Milk Makeup Website
The Milk Makeup Website is the other place where you can buy Milk Makeup products (obviously).
If you are wondering if Milk Makeup has Afterpay, it does not. However, there are a lot of Milk Makeup discount and bonus codes that come out often!
I am an affiliate of Milk Makeup and often receive many discount codes.

What Makes Milk Makeup So Good?
Milk Makeup is unique because most of the products come in varying packages but more so in a stick format. This makes it easy to apply and compact to travel with.
Additionally, each product that Milk Makeup creates serves a particular purpose so you’re not bombarded with useless products.
Another reason why Milk Makeup is so good is that it is easy to use and apply. I never had an issue not liking something that I purchased. In Canada, Milk Makeup can be found at Sephora or you can order online from their website: Milkmakeup.com.
Best Products by Milk Makeup
Milk Makeup Cooling Water
The Milk Makeup cooling water is used if you want to de-puff, soothe and energize the skin. The reason I say energize is because it contains caffeine in the stick.
How you use the cooling water is that you basically rub the stick all over the parts of your face that are puffy and could use some circulation. There is also seawater that helps calm the skin so it is perfect if you have any redness.
The cooling stick is gluten-free, oil-free, talc-free and fragrance-free so if you are very sensitive you will want to use this cooling water stick.
At Sephora, there are two sizes: 1. Full Size 2. Travel size so if you aren’t sure if this product is for you, you can purchase the smaller size.
Here are some of the Milk Makeup Cooling Water Stick reviews from Sephora Canada:
“I use this daily and it instantly makes my eyes feel less tired and it feels cool and amazing. Highly recommended. “
“This roll on cooling water feels amazing on warm, tired skin. I love rolling it under my eyes and on my lids, as well as my forehead and anywhere that my skin gets hot and red! It has never broken out my sensitive acne-prone skin, which is a major plus! “
Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer
The Hydro Grip Primer is a new product from Milk Makeup. This primer is a bit on the sticky side but that is the secret to this amazing product.
The Hydro Grip Primer is formulated with hemp-derived cannabis seed extract and blue agave extract for all-day hydration and hold.
It also contains prickly pear cactus extracts, Aloe water and vitamin B to soothe and hydrate the skin. As with the cooling water stick, it is also gluten-free, paraben-free and cruelty-free.
Essentially, the Hydro Grip primer is made so that your makeup doesn’t budge while sealing in the moisture of your skin.
Here are some of the best reviews of the Hydro Grip Primer on Sephora Canada:
“I got this as a sample at first. I really love it. It makes my face feel cool at first and you don’t need to use a lot of it for coverage. Most importantly it really does help my foundation stick. Highly recommend. “
“I bought a mini let’s just say I will be purchasing the full size product next time. It worked wonders for my foundation and it was the best one I’ve used out multiple that I tested. It worked great with my dry skin, large pores, and black heads.”
My own review of this product is that it was a bit tacky but it actually made my foundation stick and locked in the moisture of my skin. I feel that the Hydro Grip primer really did what it said it was going to do.
Since I purchased the mini version, I’ll be using that up before I purchase the full size which is also available at Sephora Canada.
Milk Makeup Matcha Review
The Milk Makeup Matcha set contains three skincare products all available at Sephora. The reviews of the Milk Makeup Matcha products are quite good and are often sold out. Considering all of these products are a solid stick, it makes it easy to apply and a very unique product.
If you aren’t already aware, matcha is a natural product that detoxifies so it is perfect for right after you cleanse your skin.
Milk Makeup Matcha Toner
The Milk Makeup Matcha Toner is a stick infused with matcha that is said to detox pores and balance out the skin.
This is a solution for dull and uneven skin tone, dryness and puffiness. You should apply the matcha toner after cleansing and before you use a serum. This product removes oil so you’ll be sure to end up with a very clean base to apply your makeup.
It is also very cooling on the skin and quite refreshing so be sure to use this in the morning if you want a burst of energy.
Honesty, some of the Sephora reviews say they do not notice a difference in their skin tone when using the Matcha Toner.
An example of a bad review on Sephora is:
” I started using this for about a week and made no difference. I mainly bought it to help my acne but didn’t work at all. Also the product kept falling out of its container. Not worth it.”
Also there is another negative Sephora review that says do not use the Matcha Toner on oily skin or you can end up with a mess.
A positive review of the Matcha Toner on Sephora is:
“I can’t compare this much to other toners quality wise, because I haven’t tried that many. But convenience wise, I love this toner. I feel like I’m wasting product with liquid toners and cotton pads, but stick toner just goes straight on my face so I can’t waste it. I stopped using toners for a while, then picked this one up and I’m glad to have toner back in my routine. My skin condition has improved. My skin stays moisturized longer. I am pleasantly surprised with the amount of moisture already in the stick toner. I usually apply it on clean, but slightly wet skin. But I have applied it after my skin dried off completely (after cleansing) and it still goes on so smooth.”
Milk Makeup Matcha Cleanser
The Milk Makeup Matcha Cleanser goes nicely with the Matcha Toner. However, the Matcha Cleanser is a solid cleanser that is soap free.
Similar to the Matcha Toner, the matcha ingredient in this cleanser also has the detoxifying element to it. There is lavender and algae that helps to soothe the skin.
There is no microbeads and helps to purify the skin eliminating excess oil. This is a vegan cleanser so if you are into vegan facial cleansers this is perfect for you.
The other great thing about the Milk Makeup Matcha Cleanser is that it is TSA friendly so that means you can travel with it and not worry about taking liquid on an airplane.
The reviews are positive and has 4 out of 5 stars on Sephora Canada. Here is an example of a positive review:
” I ordered this cleanser because a friend recommended it to me, and its has been the best cleanser I had ever own. It leaves the skin so soft and glowy. I absolutely loved it. “
” Love this stuff. Leaves skin clean and soft. Great for travel since it’s small Ana solid!”
Milk Makeup Matcha Detoxifying Face Mask
The last product in the Milk Makeup Matcha line is the detoxifying face mask. If you like clay masks but don’t like when they dry out your skin you’ll want to try the Milk Makeup Matcha Detoxifying Face Mask.
The benefit of this clay face mask is that as we’ve learned the green tea helps to detoxify. The other ingredients including: Kombucha and Witch Hazel absorb any extra oil that your skin leaves behind. Lastly, it contains cactus elixir which helps to calm and soothe the skin.
The reviews of the Matcha Detoxifying Face Mask are pretty positive which actually shocked me. A face mask in a stick form is not too common so I figured some would find it gimmicky. However, here are the positive reviews on Sephora:
“I like to use this mask the nights just before my period, and/or at the start of it, when my skin is at its oiliest. It works well for me to combat oiliness in my t-zone. I love Milk makeup products!!”
“This is the easiest to use clay mask I’ve ever used!! The stick form makes it not complete mess to apply, like normal clay masks. I use it 2-3 times a week and it really does help clear my pores! Nothing will ever cute them, but the ease of use of this product helps keep them more under control! I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out and will always have this handy!”
In conclusion, the detoxifying face mask is great when you have oily skin and need to tame it.
Milk Makeup KUSH High Volume Mascara
If you haven’t heard of the Kush High Volume Mascara well then you have never tried the ULTIMATE mascara. I originally tried the mini version of the Kush Mascara and instantly fell in love with it.
The Kush Mascara has CBD oil in it which instantly coats all lashes. The great thing about the CBD oil is that the cannabis seed oil helps to coat each lash individually.
The one thing I will warn you about this mascara even though I love it so much is that I actually prefer the mini version!
The full sized Kush High Volume Mascara I believe comes in a tube that is a bit heavy and it is metal. The mini version is a plastic tubing and I feel that the mascara goes on really smoothly, more so than the full sized version.
Here are the Sephora reviews for the Kush High Volume Mascara on Sephora:
“I like that this mascara doesn’t feel thick, and it doesn’t clump up my lashes, either.”
“I have super long lashes and I never find mascaras I love.. the Kush mascara is beautiful!! Brings in so much length and keeps them up curler. Amazing quality, I believe its in the ingredients! Wand could be a struggle for smaller lashes tho.”
However, I find as I read through the reviews, I see that there are many mixed reviews. I find that with mascara there are very different levels of reviews and some work better on different lashes. It really depends on how you want your lashes to look. I find that the Milk Kush High Volume Mascara is really great for an every day makeup look.
Milk Makeup Blur Stick Review
The Blur Stick is one of the Best Milk Makeup Products because it is a primer in stick form. I find it very similar to the Benefit Pore-Fessional but the Blur Stick is easier to use.
How the Blur Stick works is that it actually fills pores with a powdered material. Even though it looks like it’s coloured, the blur stick actually goes on clear and helps to even out skin tone.
The Blur Stick was one of the first Milk Makeup products. There is also a luminous blur stick from Milk Makeup that gives you an overall glow sheen underneath your makeup. The regular Blur stick will give you a matte finish underneath your makeup.
Both Blur Sticks are silicone free and won’t clog pores. The blur stick is great for all skin types so you don’t have to worry if you have oily or dry skin.
Here are some of the positive reviews on Sephora:
“This primer is the best!! If I am going out or have a special occassion I wear this as my makeup. It is very natural and you will look matte in photos.”
“I absolutely love this product. I’ve tried a number of primers and none come close to the awesome job this blur stick does. My foundation never gets oily anymore. And it feels so good going on.”
Other Milk Makeup Products
There are a lot of other products by Milk Makeup that are amazing but I have covered the ones that are the best. Unfortunately, right now Milk Makeup does not create a setting spray but when they do I will be first in line.
Milk makeup also has their flex concealer and blur liquid matte foundation which are also really popular on Sephora Canada. I haven’t tried these products so I can’t review them but they have decent reviews on Sephora.ca.
I would say that Milk Makeup is really great at being different with their stick products. If you’re going to start with any first product from Milk Makeup definitely try one of those.
Here’s a great set that carries many of the products I mentioned above in the Milk Makeup Kush Stash Bag Set:
Milk Makeup also carries mini sizes of all of their products so be sure to try those by clicking on the links above or here.
