Do you have dark circles like me?
I have been struggling with dark circles until I discovered the Becca Cosmetics under eye brightening corrector.
THE BECCA COSMETICS UNDER EYE BRIGHTENING CORRECTOR HAS ALSO BECOME A TIKTOK PHENOMENON.
It’s almost sold out at Sephora so you better shop now because I believe the Light shade is already gone.
I have been using this product for quite some time so I have the ability to write a full review and give you my pros and cons.
UPDATE: Becca Cosmetics is now shutting down as of September, 2021. If you like this product I suggest you buy it. I’ve mentioned some dupes below but they are harder to find and honestly don’t replicate in the exact same way.
One pot will last you a good long while so even though it’s a tad expensive I suggest you pick one up asap!
This is the Becca Cosmetics Under Eye Brightening Corrector:
Here’s what the product looks like when it’s actually used:
I’ve had this pot for about 1.5 years and you can see I’ve barely made a dent as the product is very dense. You can dab your finger and still get a lot of product without having to use it up fast.
What is the Becca Cosmetics Under Eye Brightening Corrector?
This under eye brightener is for those who want a full coverage under the eyes to brighten the appearance of dark circles.
It covers dark circles but also BRIGHTENS under the eyes to remove any shading and even out your skin tone.
This product comes in two shades:
1. Light to Medium – A pearlized peachy pink shade
2. Medium to Deep – A pearlized apricot shade
My shade of skin is fair so I chose the light to medium shade.
This corrector has the consistency of a putty and is quite a bit tacky. This is great because it melts into the skin when you apply it.
You can then just apply a powder on top to set the product so that it doesn’t budge. My favourite setting powder is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder – you can read the review here.
I personally don’t always need to wear foundation if I use the Becca under eye brightening corrector. I find that it blends into my skin enough so that I don’t have to put extra product on top.
Becca Under Eye Brightening Before and After
I love the consistency of this because you can easily press the product into the skin.
It’s really easy to use – all you have to do is on primed skin take your ring finger and press into the pot.
Then, take that finger and press firmly (but not too hard) into the skin. I like to use my ring finger because naturally that finger has less pressure.
It instantly brightens my under eyes and I have to say that this is one of my favourite products to use aside from concealer.
You can see from my before and after photos of using the Becca Eye Brightening Corrector that there is a definite difference under my eyes.
The left side has the product where the right side is bare.
I even continued to press the product further down beside my nose in order to brighten up the entire area.
Dupes of the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector
Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum
The best dupe of the Becca Under Eye Corrector is from Sephora’s brand.
The product is called the Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer.
I’ve also used this concealer before and it goes on so light and airy onto the skin.
This is the perfect dupe because the concealer is not only cheaper but you don’t have to apply your finger into the pot.
It also doubles as a concealer and under eye brightener so you get a two in one product.
Best Drugstore Dupe: Pixi Beauty Under Eye Brightener Correction Concentrate
The Pixi Beauty Under Eye Brightener is probably the CLOSEST dupe to the Becca version.
This is in a putty formula and comes in a pot in two shades: brightening peach and awakening apricot.
The fresh “awake” look is what you’ll get when you use this product.
Essentially, it’s more of a colour corrector so if you have a peach under eye colour corrector you can just that use that.
You can also use it on other parts of your skin tone that need to be colour corrected or brightened.
It contains vitamin C which will help with brightening.
It’s sold out on the Pixi Beauty Website available in the U.S. but if you are from Canada, check out Shoppers Drug Mart here to see if you can snag one.
Tarte Coloured Clay CC Under Eye Corrector
Another dupe of the Becca Under Eye Brightener is the Tarte Colored Clay CC Under Eye Corrector.
This under eye corrector is very similar to the Becca one but it is more matte and Becca is more dewy and moisturizing.
I still recommend Becca’s under eye brightening corrector because it doesn’t crease as much. Tarte is known for their concealers creasing and if you have the slightest wrinkle, I don’t trust the Tarte Coloured Clay CC under eye corrector.
First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream
The First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Cream is the perfect mix of firming and lifting eye cream with the benefit of a brightener. The cream is a peach tint as we know is the perfect eye brightener because it corrects dark circles.
It also hydrates and smooths the looks of wrinkles by filling in fine lines and giving a smoother overall appearance. The addition of the Niacinamide helps to brighten your eyes overall.
Skincare by Hyram has recommended this product so even if you aren’t looking for the exact dupe of the Under Eye Brightening Corrector, this is still an amazing product to use every day.
L’Oreal Paris Magic Lumi Highlighter
The L’Oreal Magic Lumi Glotion is one of the best dupes for the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter. Their new Magic Lumi Highlighter is a brightening under eye concealer which is now very similar to the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector.
This is a new product but it is flying off the shelves really fast so if you’re interested you better pick it up fast!
I hope you enjoyed this Becca Cosmetics review of the Under Eye Brightening Corrector. Let me know in the comments below if you think you’ll be purchasing this product!
Again, since Becca cosmetics is closing if you like the under eye Brightener don’t bother with a dupe just buy it (and through my affiliate link above pls :))
