Finding the best products for dehydrated skin can be challenging because there are so many brands claiming the same thing.
I have done some research and know that there are some of the best products for hydrated skin that aren’t too expensive! This post will focus on why these hydration products are the best for any skin type.
Even though these are the best products for dehydrated skin that I believe, it would be beneficial to you to research your skin type if you don’t already know it. If you aren’t sure then you can use an online skin type checker such as this one found on Sephora.
If you have dry skin or combination skin you can still have dehydrated skin. If you don’t drink enough water or maybe you’re just prone to being more dehyrated, you’ll want to read below.
The Best Moisturizers For Dehydrated Skin
Sheer Transformation Moisturizer – Ole Henrikson![Ole Henrikson Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer]()
Ole Henrikson Sheer Transformation moisturizer is one of my favourite products on my shelf. This moisturizer is super hydrating but also really thin. It dries on the skin fast so you don’t have to worry about waiting too long to apply foundation. It also helps to even skin tone and it is also oil free so it feels weightless upon application.
I find that I still need to put an SPF on top of the Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation moisturizer because SPF is really important. I love this moisturizer so much that I don’t even mind.
The Water Cream – Tatcha
Tatcha is known for their sourcing of natural products combined with Japanese science. You can read about my true love for The Water Cream by Tatcha in this article here. The Water Cream is one of my favourite moisturizers for any skin type because it includes special Japanese botanicals and anti-aging elements. Water is the main ingredient and doesn’t allow your face to become oily or greasy.
There is also the dewy skin cream by Tatcha if you want more of a dewy glow. The reviews on the dewy skin cream by Tatcha are 4.3 stars on Sephora Canada. A dewy skin cream is a perfect moisturizer to make your skin look like it is really hydrated.
Protini Polypeptide Cream – Drunk Elephant
The Protini Polypeptide Cream by Drunk Elephant is one of the newest moisturizers on the market right now and perfect for any skin type. There are proteins in this product that are basically skin food and allows for your natural, younger looking skin to shine through. This is one of the best selling products from Drunk Elephant and the results are absolutely amazing! It’s also non greasy and soaks into skin.
La Roche Posay Hydraphase Lotion with SPF
If your local drugstore carries high end skincare, they are likely to have La Roche-Posay. La Roche-Posay is geared toward solving skincare problems over fancy packaging. The Hydraphase lotion is unscented and melts into skin a bit thicker than other moisturizers. Many thinner feeling moisturizers don’t have SPF which isn’t the best because you should be wearing an SPF every single day. If you can get a product that is multipurpose but not too thick I would say that this is one you shouldn’t lose.
The Best Serums for Hydrated Skin
B-Hydra – Drunk Elephant![B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum]()

Another product that I swear by is B-Hydra Serum by Drunk Elephant. Please read the full review of the B-Hydra here. This hydrating serum is good for any skin type because it’s really light gel and contains vitamin B which is a vitamin that skin craves. The reason why the B-Hydra is so great is that it holds moisture in the skin and locks it in place all day.
I use the Drunk Elephant B-Hydra every single day and find that my skin is more hydrated throughout the day and my makeup goes on more evenly.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum
Ultra Repair by First Aid Beauty is one of the best hydrating serums for any skin type because it is formulated using a water base. It also focuses on hydrating and plumping the skin’s natural collagen. The great thing about First Aid Beauty is that it doesn’t contain parabens or sulphates which makes this very to achieving calm skin.
Skin Hydrating Booster – Dermalogica
If you’ve EVER tried Dermalogica, you’ll know that they use both science and technology to create their skincare line. The Skin Hydrating Booster is perfect for helping with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains hylauronic acid which is one of the most important ingredients in hydration. Dermalogica products work to bring out the a healthy skin glow by making sure hydrating is soaked up by the skin all day long.
Rose Deep Hydration Face Serum – Fresh
Fresh has a whole line of Rose infused products and the Rose Deep Hydration Face Serum is just as amazing as the rest. The Rose Deep Hydration Serum is supposed to give 24-hour hydration along that provides a healthy glow and and intense hydration. Infused with Rosewater for soothing and cucumber extract that provides skin with even more hydration, the Rose Deep Hydration Face Serum by Fresh is definitely worth the value.
How Many Cups of Water Should you Drink a Day?
All of these products will help you get hydrated skin. However, you can help the hydration process along by drinking water! They say you’re supposed to drink 8 cups of water a day. It may be really hard to drink so much water in a day, I should know because I really shy away from drinking. When I do drink a lot of water, my skin looks amazing and I tend to lose weight.
I would say track how much water you drink daily and then try to beat that a little more each day so that you feel energized, your skin is clear and your pee is clear too!
What Else Can I do To Get Clear Skin?
A good rule of thumb is to ensure you exfoliate at least once a week, twice a week is even better. The reason for exfoliating is to remove the dead skin skill so that the new skin can shine through. Another great thing to do is masking weekly. There are so many kinds of masks that you can buy for hydration. If you read this article that I wrote has to do with the best sheet masks for your skin type. Sheet masks are a personal favourite of mine because you can put them on and do other things in your routine.
Mud masks such as the ones from Glam Glow or Origins are also great at removing and drying out bacteria. Mud masks unlike sheet masks should be used only 1 time per week because they are harsher on your skin but they are necessary for clear skin.
Remember to figure out the best routine that works for you. Getting clear skin that’s hydrated may take more steps depending on your skin type but trial and error with different brands and products you can get the perfect routine!
